Rose Mary Boehm — Wednesday, April 3, 7:00pm(EST)

Rose Mary Boehm is a German-born British national living and writing in Lima, Peru, and author of two novels as well as seven poetry collections. Her poetry has been published widely in mostly US poetry reviews (online and print). She was twice nominated for a ‘Pushcart’, once for ‘Best of Net’. All her books are available on Amazon. Rose Mary will read from her new collection, LIFE STUFF, from Kelsay Books.

CJ Farnsworth — Thursday, April 11, 7:00pm (EST)

CJ Farnsworth (she/her) is a poet residing in WV. She has a BA from Bethany College, an MS from Franciscan University, and an MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts. A Pushcart Prize nominee, her poems have appeared in I-70 Review, Backbone Mountain Review, Appalachian Review, Kenning, Kestrel, Rattle, Women Speak, IMPOST, and others. CJ will be reading from her debut collection from Sheila-Na-Gig Editions, If You Keep Making That Shame Face.

Barbara Marie Minney is a transgender woman, award winning poet, writer, speaker, teaching artist, and quiet activist. Her poetry and essays have appeared in numerous publications, including Politico, The Gasconade Review, The Pine Cone Review, Women Speak: Women of Appalachia Project, Woman Scream: The International Poetry Anthology of Female Voices, new words (issue one): a trans and gender-expansive journal, and I Thought I Heard A Cardinal Sing, Ohio’s Appalachian Voices. She is the author of If There’s No Heaven, the winner of the 2020 Poetry Is Life Book Award and an Akron Beacon Journal Best Northeast Ohio Book in 2020; the Poetic Memoir Chapbook Challenge; and Dance Naked With God. Barbara will be reading from her new chapbook A Woman in Progress from Sheila-Na-Gig Editions.

Judy Kronenfeld — Wednesday, April 24, 7:00pm (EST)

Judy Kronenfeld’s six full-length books of poetry include Groaning and Singing (FutureCycle, 2022), Bird Flying through the Banquet (FutureCycle, 2017) and Shimmer (WordTech, 2012). Her poems have appeared in four dozen anthologies and in many journals including Cider Press Review, Gyroscope Review, MacQueen’s Quinterly, New Ohio Review, One Art, Rattle, Sheila-Na-Gig, Valparaiso Poetry Review and Verdad. Judy has also published criticism—including King Lear and the Naked Truth (Duke, 1998)—short stories, and creative nonfiction. Her third chapbook, Oh Memory, You Unlocked Cabinet of Amazements!, is forthcoming from Bamboo Dart in June, 2024, and her memoir-in-essays, Apartness, from Inlandia Books in 2024/2025. Judy will be reading from latest her collection If Only There Were Stations of the Air from Sheila-Na-Gig Editions.

About Grimmgirl

I co-founded the small press poetry magazine Sheila-Na-Gig in California in 1990. I ran the press for 10 years, producing 14 print copies of the journal. I now hold a Ph.D. in 20th Century American Literature from Ohio University and an MFA in poetry from the University of Washington. I am currently an Associate Professor of English at Ohio University Southern, where I teach courses in composition, American literature, and creative writing. My poetry, creative nonfiction, and critical essays have appeared, or are forthcoming, in The Brock Review, Proteus, Rattle, Spillway, and the critical anthologies, The Body in Medical Culture; On the Literary Nonfiction of Nancy Mairs; and Stephen King’s Contemporary Classics: Reflections on the Modern Master of Horror.
