Sheila-Na-Gig Editions Author Named Ohio Poet Laureate and Ohio Poet of the Year!

Great things are happening at Sheila-Na-Gig Editions! Please join me in congratulating Albany, Ohio, poet Kari Gunter-Seymour on being selected by Ohio Governor Mike DeWine as Ohio Poet Laureate AND being named Ohio Poet of the Year by the Ohio Poetry Day Association for her collection A Place So Deep Inside America It Cant be Seen. Through her Women of Appalachia Project (see link below), Kari has done so much for women writers and artists in our region, and her own powerful poetry will move you to your core. I can’t think of anyone more deserving of these accolades and am honored to have published her most recent book. (
