Silent streets
in ribbons of rain
witness the yellow
seduction of two
miniscule flashes
yellow on blue
and the light green
of spring the bob
and bounce of bright
with wisps of wings
a black bar sideways
puppetry visible
in darting gold
not quite a blur
but sharp in flight
no time for pain
or pleasure, just
an arrow of ochre
sprung from a bow
invisible wounding the heart
of a quarantine stroll,
soundless footsteps
meeting the beaks’
glad rising
