ABOUT THE EDITORS:
Sandra Feen is a member of the touring troupe Concrete Wink with Chuck Salmons and Rikki Santer. She also co-hosts The Muse’s Mic with James Bryant. She is the author of three poetry collections and co-author of There’s a Rock on Martin Avenue. Feen loves photography, antiques, cats, and color. She will one day create a word that rhymes with orange and will fiercely protect her invention from AI.
Dianne Borsenik’s collection Raga for What Comes Next was studied in the Modern & Contemporary American Poetry course at Muskingum University. Her most recent book, Flight of Honey, was published in 2023 (Luchador Press). ABOUT THE BOOK:
When Ohio Beat Poet Laureate Sandra Feen served her term from 2022–2024, she started thinking about a project she might create during her tenure. She thought of her “You’ve been poemed“ idea, where, she writes, “a poet could write a poem and leave it for someone to discover. The poems could be left anywhere––a church pew, barn, bar stool, including it with a server’s tip, produce aisle, inside a magazine at a dentist’s office––any possible place where people congregate.” Feen sees the poets in this collection “making the most of their day and making it beautiful.” The poems are “deliberate and meditative, given directly as gifts, or slipped into secret places as treasure, and sent to me for this collection to preserve the memory of poetry’s loving deed.“
