We are God’s perfect mistake
Too powerful now to destroy
Too corrupted to fix
The dog nears
The curtain closes in
When the end comes,
Will you rejoice?
Will you grieve?
Or will you merely lay down
And close your eyes?
When the end comes
And, lo, it must
Will you be ready?
