Georgia
my thumbs have wanderlust for greenhouses
so they plant themselves in your inexorable winter;
your placid palms, moss agate scales scale along, digging
their seed into my back.
lips grow roots that pulse along mine until they are
four halves and two lines
of albatross and chewed bubblegum
and my head fits in the daisy pit of your shoulder
your triangular heart holds the sour discharge of
photosynthesis, spilling down chlorophyll
onto your toes, and they glow, a lumpy lamp
onto my snowflake feet;
together,
we grow peaches to spite the weather.
tell me a secret;
can I stay inside your greenhouse?
