VENUS OF WILLENDORF

taste your finger
then test the wind
it is not an empty bowl
beneath famished lips
but berry harvests
and venison

amid summer bloom
an artisan fashions
his diva figurine
chisels and rounds limestone
into full moon form
predating the wheel

cornucopia spills
blessings of the breast
and womb

menstrual blood flows
or the belly widens as it will
fertile fields rarely rest fallow
good boons swell
what blessings bestow
